The Three Levels of Workplace Offenses

Based on the Virginia DHRM Policy 1.60, here is a simplified breakdown of the three offense levels, formatted for easy reading and speaking (p. 1): The Three Levels of Workplace Offenses Group One: Minor Impact Offenses These are relatively minor issues that affect daily business but require management to step in.  Examples: Being late Poor attendance Using obscene language Unsatisfactory work performance. A supervisor will typically provide counseling or a written notice. These stay on an employee's record for two years (p. 1). Group Two: Serious Misconduct These acts are more severe and significantly impact how an agency operates. Examples Failing to follow a supervisor's instructions Violatione where there is no threat of bodily harm Leaving work without permission. A formal written notice and can include a suspension of ten days. These records stay active for three years (p. 1). Group Three: Most Serious Offenses These are the most severe violations that have a major impact...

Jane Doe Chronicles

Abc They said “we’ll look into it.” I called. I emailed. I showed up. I was not quiet. Eight cavities didn’t happen overnight. Falling behind in school didn’t happen overnight. And putting a child in a room—sharing a bed—with someone known for crossing boundaries? That didn’t happen by accident. These were warnings. These were chances. These were moments where someone could have said: “Stop. This isn’t safe.” Instead, they ignored me. This isn’t about revenge. It’s about accountability. Because when the system ignores a parent trying to protect their child, it teaches that child their safety is optional. It’s not. I’m speaking now because silence didn’t work. And I won’t let what happened to my child be treated like it didn’t matter.

There Was No Update, No Explanation, No Support.

https://www.dhrm.virginia.gov/docs/default-source/hrpolicy/assets/pol1_60attachmentasampleoffensesbygroup.pdf CPS Responsibility Child Protective Services, or CPS, is supposed to investigate child abuse or neglect and make sure children are safe. They are responsible for checking on the child, communicating with parents, and making sure proper steps are followed. What Happened A CPS worker came to my home for a couple of days. They took my child. After that, they stopped communicating. They did not return my calls. They did not respond to my emails. This went on for months, up to a year. Lack of Follow-Up There were no home che to make sure my daughter was sate. There was no clear investigation to confirm or deny any claims. There was no update, no explanation, and no support. 🌈🌈🌈 Why This Is a Problem CPS is required to investigate and ensure a child's safety. In this case, those responsibilities were not carried out. Ignoring communication and failing to follow up creates seri...

Update on Jane Doe Case Files - A pattern of inaction seriously disrupts the way policy is intended to work

Child Protective Services (CPS) is a governmental agency responsible for investigating reports of child maltreatment and intervening to ensure a safe environment for children. In this case, that responsibility was not upheld. A worker came to my home for only a couple of days, removed my child, and then failed to maintain any form of communication. My calls were not returned, and there was no follow-up to explain the situation or provide updates. Additionally, there were no home checks conducted to verify whether my daughter was safe in her temporary placement. CPS did not complete a thorough investigation to confirm or deny any allegations of maltreatment, nor did they take appropriate steps to ensure her well-being after removal. Communication attempts, including emails, were ignored for an extended period ranging from six months to over a year. This pattern of inaction reflects a serious failure to perform required duties. Under Virginia DHRM Policy 1.60, such conduct may constitute...

A Group III Offense - The most Severe Misconduct under Virginia DHRM Policy 1.60

A Group III Offense for significant neglect of duty under Virginia DHRM Policy 1.60 represents the most severe misconduct, typically resulting in immediate termination. Such offenses severely impact operations, unethical behavior, or flagrant failure to perform duties. Mitigation is only considered in limited, specific circumstances. Group III Offense - Significant Neglect of Duty Definition Actions that indicate a severe disregard for job responsibilities, potentially endangering people, property, or operations. Consequence Immediate termination is the standard action for a single Group III offense. Mitigation If mitigating circumstances exist, alternatives to termination may include demotion, transfer to a lower-level position, or up to 30 days of suspension without pay, often accompanied by at least a 5% salary reduction. Active Life A Group III Written Notice stays active, and any subsequent offense during this period often leads to termination. Alternatives In some cases, agencies...

Reality - it matters too

Introduction When protection does not come, children are not helped. They are harmed. They grow up too quickly, carry burdens that should not be theirs, and their lives become shaped by forces outside their control. In a school hallway, Jane realized this was not policy. It was danger. This is an update on the Jane Doe Files. Previous material is available in the Jaemi XOXO blog under Stop System Abuse. This is not a request for intervention. It is an offering for consideration. The goal is to build credibility, not favors, and to create alignment rather than extract anything from others. The intention is to make decisions with clarity and integrity. The story that follows is not about a single moment, but about repeated harm at points where protection should have existed. It is a sequence of losses that build on one another, including the death of a parent, the loss of a home, and a disruption of identity. Why This Matters in Virginia In Virginia, power within systems often moves upwa...

The Jane Doe Case Files Were Returned Do To Vastly Incompetent Mail Delivery People

Jaemi Tasor and her cat had another in-person meeting today. She proposed the new MyHomeJourney Website which was already approved by The Supervisor. She said her cat was exhausted but glad she got to spend some time with her. Both of their lawyers have not commented. A request for updates has been sent. The Jane Doe Case Files were returned due to vastly incompetent mail delivery people.  Jaemi Tasor said she rescheduled the delivery but the mail man just left it in there. Posting to her blog:  Apparently, they don't deliver certified mail to your door. It's unclear how long it will take CPS  to coordinate a time and place to exchange the documents in-person. More about that later this week.

Jaemi Tasor and The Cat Protective Services

Jaemi Tasor and The Cat Protective Services Jaemi Tasor emailed two lawyers regarding her case today,  I’m waiting on [Their Representative] to set up a time to come by and approve my apartment.  runy  It is a condition in making plans for her cat to visit and ultimately reunify with his owner. Right now Jaemi sees her cat three times per week. Right now only one of these is in person.

Stop False Reports and System Abuse

At seventeen, Jane was still living a childhood she should have outgrown—because no one in charge stepped in. Teachers noticed. Doctors hesitated. Systems delayed. So Jane became the adult: managing crises, protecting her sister, absorbing the chaos. When help doesn’t come, kids don’t get rescued—they get stuck. They grow up too fast, carry too much, and their lives become leverage. In a school hallway, Jane realized: this wasn’t concern. It was control. Right now in Virginia, people can file false reports over and over with little to no consequences. These reports can lead to forced hospital stays, custody fights, and permanent damage to someone’s name—even when there’s no real proof. The people who lie often face no punishment. “Concern” gets used like a weapon to control others and ruin lives while pretending to help. This isn’t rare. It happens. That’s why we’re asking for real fixes. 1. Recognize Coercive Control: Jane once walked home without shoes on the heated asphalt—not be...

(New) Jane Doe Story Time 02/26/2026

(New) Jane Doe  Story Time The first time Jane Doe packed a bag, she folded everything too neatly.Three shirts. One pair of jeans. A toothbrush. The carefulness of someone who had been told her whole life that taking up space was dangerous. In the small bedroom of the house she was trying to leave, the walls felt closer than they should. Freedom wasn’t loud. It wasn’t dramatic. It was quiet and terrifying and came with a bus schedule folded in her pocket. On her phone, she had bookmarked stories from the anonymous blog run by a girl who called herself Jaemi. She wrote about leaving unsafe places. About how home is not home if it harms you. About how paperwork should never be more powerful than a person’s safety. Leaving is not a crime,  one post read.  And moving out should not mean being forced back.  Jane followed that sentence religiously now. The system had a different language. It spoke in forms and deadlines and office hours that ended at 4:30 sharp. It spoke i...

A Social Experiment Video Concept

This idea works best if I treat it like a real observation. The focus is not the products. The focus is how it feels to have someone else step in and take control of something personal, even if they mean well. The video follows my experience of letting someone else choose and provide hygiene products, but the real story is what happens in your head while it’s happening. I am paying attention to my reactions in real time, like whether I feel grateful, uncomfortable, embarrassed, relieved, or a mix of all of it , and that tension is the whole point. Opening the series by setting it up clearly and honestly. I am explaining what it feels like to receive help when you didn’t fully ask for it, or when it replaces your own choices. I make it clear this is not about blaming anyone, but about understanding control, independence, and perception. Process Show Case Even small pauses, awkward laughs, or quiet moments say more than jokes would. As you use the products, you talk honestly about what i...

Hygiene Products Video Idea

My Friend Bought My Hygiene Products — YouTube Series Idea This is a funny but real-feeling series where you let a friend pick out all your hygiene stuff and then you have to use it and live with the results. It mixes humor, honesty, and a little bit of “why would you buy this for me” energy. The whole point is that you are not in control, and that makes everything more interesting to watch. Each episode follows a simple setup that you can repeat every time. You start with a quick intro where you explain what is about to happen and what the rules are. Then it cuts to your friend shopping, where they talk to the camera, explain their choices, and maybe joke about you a little. After that, you come back and see everything they bought for the first time and react honestly. Then you actually try the products and say what you really think. At the end, you give your final thoughts and rate how they did and whether you would ever use any of it again. There are a lot of ways you can keep the i...

Start The My New Home Journey

I put together this guide to help children adjust to a new home. A thoughtful and supportive resource! This guide is aimed at helping children navigate their adjustment. It includes activities to help children feel safe and understand what to expect. It promotes emotional understanding, stability, and a sense of safety. Be actively involved with your child while she goes through this guide. If you are sensing she is ready, then great but if she feels overwhelmed, simply revisit activities when she's ready. Also have discussions about her emotions or experiences related to the move before this stage  [See Feelings Check-in] and from there if you believe she will feel secure and ready: Start the My New Home Journey

The Six Phases Of Light (February)

Primary Goal Access to hygiene resources petition awareness. Secondary Goal Relationship-building (friend, music, media). Internal Goal Re-establish warmth and normalcy. Rules Never bundle asks. One clear purpose at a time. Music + social media are funnels, not leverage. The petition stands on its own integrity. No “support my petition” inside music convos. No church tagging tied to activism unless invited. When comment on the music or the live stream. No petition. No products. No scarcity talk. Not transactional. No we’ve supported you, please support us. No assuming access. No bundling shampoo petition band in one convo. No implying moral obligation. No using music as leverage. 1. Anchor If he feels like a conduit instead of a friend, everything collapses. curious, grounded, human.. 2. Hygiene This comes  first , and it stays  small . Frame it as   information ,  not a request . Script Random practical question—does your church ever have extra hygien...
