Since seven

The person who has worked since they were seven to support the household. They entered the system young on reduced lunch and when they became an adult they began to  receive food stamps.

Every chance at sustainable change worked against them and this pattern was perpetuated by others who didn't question their feelings.

Who said I just don't like them anymore instead of "I don't know why but something tells me their getting strong now, they might actually make it out of the hole and I want to bolt.

Maybe I'm just listening to the same system that has kept them down for this long" instead of "I just did something out of character, I screwed them over and I don't know why. Oh well probably someone else's problem"
