update

I'm Jaemi Tasor Director of Jaemi Nonprofit and it is my mission to start the conversation about abuse and bullying.

A system that is supposed to keep families together, is ripping them apart  - by the tens of thousands. There are rising experiences just like this in our Virginia community and I started something called The Jane Doe Files to bring awareness to this very sensitive issue.

A Step Toward Justice and the Fight for Home
To every supporter of the Jane Doe Files:
This journey has been one of grueling silence and hard-won progress. Three years ago Jane Doe was subject to a wrongful removal. One of many in Virginia. Here is where we stand:

One Condition
On February 25, 2026 Two lawyers regarding The Jane Doe Files were contacted regarding a time to come by and approve the residence. It is a condition to establish unsupervised visits and ultimately another step toward justice.

Both lawyers have not commented and right now, out of three weekly visits, only one is in person.

At the in-person meeting on February 27th, 2026 we brought the new app: MyNewHomeJourney. A guide built to give them a voice & know exactly how the system is supposed to work for them.

The silence from the legal teams on these updates is heavy, but we are not waiting quietly. A request for updates has been sent, and we are pushing for every second of face-to-face connection possible.

The Road Ahead
On February 28, 2026, The Jane Doe Case Files were returned due to "vastly incompetent mail delivery people". Apparently, they don't deliver certified mail to your door - then don't give us the option. It's unclear how long it will take CPS to coordinate a time and place to exchange the documents in-person. The case is closed and is being appealed.

On March 9th, 2026 we are taking our petition to the heart of the community, announcing our mission to a new Christ-Centered Recovery Group in Virginia and placing flyers at local bulletins.

We are demanding accountability not just for one family, but for a system that often loses sight of the humanity at its center.

How you can help today:
  1. Share the petition link with three friends
  2. Follow the development of our new app at mynewhomejourney.base44.appto see the tool we’re building for the future.
Thank you for standing with us. Every signature is a reminder that we are not alone.

The Jane Doe Files is an activist project started by Jaemi Nonprofit, a 501(c)3 Nonprofit who's mission it is to start the conversation about abuse and bullying.
