Morning/Shower/Makeup Routine Check List

Morning Routine
wake up
check the time and take a few quiet breaths 
make bed
take any daily medication if needed
brush teeth
Clean up dishes
before the day starts
drink water
use the bathroom
wash your face or take a quick shower

Shower Routine
before the shower
turn on the water and let it warm up
take off clothes and place them in the hamper
gather soap shampoo towel and clean clothes
in the shower
wet hair and body
wash hair with shampoo and rinse
wash face gently
wash body with soap including underarms chest back and feet
rinse everything well
after the shower
turn off the water and step out carefully
dry body with a towel
put on deodorant
brush or style hair
quick reset
hang the towel to dry
close shampoo bottles
check that the bathroom/shower floor is dry
get dressed
Get Ready With Me

get dressed
choose comfortable clothes for the day
put on deodorant
grab glasses hearing aids or other daily items
do makeup
makeup routine
start with a clean face
apply moisturizer if you use one
add sunscreen if you will be outside
base
apply small vol. of foundation / tinted moisturizer
blend into skin with fingers sponge or brush
use concealer on spots or under eyes if needed
face
lightly apply powder
add a little blush for color
eyes
brush or shape eyebrows
apply mascara
add neutral eyeshadow if you want
lips
apply lip balm for moisture
add lip color or gloss if desired
finish
check makeup in natural light if possible
carry lip balm/color for touch ups during the day
child morning routine
wake the child gently
help them get dressed
brush their teeth
check backpack lunch or school items
breakfast
make a quick breakfast like toast cereal fruit or eggs
eat together if possible
clean dishes or put them in the sink
before leaving or starting the day
pack keys wallet phone
check the weather
make sure the child has what they need
take a quick look around the apartment and tidy anything obvious
start the day
leave for school work appointments or begin the day at home
