The Jane Doe Mystery
Jaemi Tasor sent a request to the leader of her new Christ-Centered Recovery Group to announce her new petition.

Saying, "It's family safety which is really a community safety issue rather than just a personal grievance."

A big move that comes in-part of her commitment to handle these issues with total transparency with quote "no dramatic surprises".

Good morning Robin,
It was so great meeting you this week! I’m reaching out because I’m working on an activist project called The Jane Doe Files.

It helps protect families in our Virginia community and more information about that is here. I was wondering if I could have 60 seconds during next week’s announcements to share a quick update and ask people to sign a petition for CPS reform? 

I’ll keep it strictly to the points in the petition regarding transparency and accountability and I would love to give everyone a bookmark. Would that be okay?

Most churches are okay with protecting cats, but get nervous if it sounds too political so we are seeing a focus on protecting the vulnerable.

While downplaying the drama has served well, Jaemi Tasor writes,  using the name Jane Doe Files is going great - it creates immediate intrigue and makes people want to know the story behind the name.

Jaemi Tasor has announced plans to post a flyer. If they say no to a live mic Jaemi Tasor is instead makig plans to posting small flyers with the QR code (linked to change.org/signthepetitionva) on a local resource table or in the digital newsletter.

Virginia OCO SFY 2025

In State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2025, which ended June 30, 2025, the Office of the Children's Ombudsman (OCO) in Virginia received 466 complaints regarding the conduct of local departments of social services.  While this number reflects formal complaints rather than a general sentiment of "unfairness," it is the primary metric for tracked dissatisfaction.
