It also taps into curiosity, because people want to see what someone else would choose for them.

If you want to take it a step further, you can add small twists to keep people coming back. You could force yourself to use the products for a full day and give updates on how it is going. You could switch roles in the next episode and get revenge. You could even bring in another friend to judge who did a better job. The idea is simple, but it has a lot of room to grow into a full series.
